Dreaming of England

I've been dreaming of England these past few days. I spent a semester abroad there when I was in college, and I would say that it was the best thing I ever did in college. I learned more about myself in those few months, than all the other years combined. Something about that place just speaks to me. Perhaps it's that everything that surrounds you is steeped in history. I love the fabulous city of London with its plays, culture, museums, surrounded by the quaint towns with rolling green hills, rock walls, ancient castles, and glorious gardens. *sigh*

Someday I'll go back. Hopefully sooner, rather than later.

What about you? Is there a place you've been longing to go?

Welcome. Welcome everybody

Hello World. I created this little blog at the start of this new year. A place to gather my thoughts. A place to write, without feeling pressure about what I'm writing. As an English major*, turned photographer, I often miss writing, as my days are filled with snapping and editing photographs. While I absolutely love what I do, I feel this side of me has been neglected. I do have a photography blog, but somehow always get writer's block when trying to post there. Perhaps I'm too worried about appearing professional. So here I go--the non-professional side of me. These posts will consist of whatever inspires me, makes me think, or strikes my fancy. It may not always be interesting. It may not always be correct. But welcome!

*Now that I have revealed this little fact, please don't be too harsh if I misspell words or use incorrect grammar. In other words, don't hate!
